Information collected about you
Uptown collects your personal information ("PI") that you provide on your own. PI includes any information or your identification details as name, phone number, email address, contact address, etc. In order to get the best out of Uptown, you may register as a member as there may be portions of the website which otherwise would not be available. At times, there would be special deals, promotions being offered which may only be accessed or availed after login as a member.

Due to our servers being geographically located across the globe, we may store and process PI in India, outside of India in any part of the world. By becoming a member of Uptown, you give your consent to Uptown to store/transfer your PI anywhere in the world. Registered User / Member information
Uptown may collect PI such as your First Name, Last Name, Password, Mobile Number, Email Address, etc. when you register to become a member of our Website. If you choose to register or link your accounts by using your facebook, google plus, twitter or linkedin profile, we collect your profile accounts email adress, location, sex and other relevant data.

Uptown is committed in its endeavor to provide you safe way of transacting online on Uptown. All your transactions online are protected & secured by SSL (secure socket layer) technology from a reputed certificate authority. It encrypts your credit card and relevant information during the entire transaction process. This encryption makes your travel shopping/ or The Heritage Shoppe experience safe and secure.

Our systems are configured with data encryption, or scrambling, technologies, and industry-standard firewalls. When you send personal information to Uptown over the Internet, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology from a reputed and leading certificate issuing company to ensure safe transmission.

Uptown does not store Credit / Debit card numbers, CVV / Security Code, Pin for 3D Secure, Expiry date on any of its servers and only collects in a session while making a transaction. The said information may however be stored by Risk Management / Fraud Management Systems with authority to do so. Risk Management / Fraud Management Systems are used for ensuring that payment card frauds are kept to minimum and all necessary information regarding to payment cards is secure for you, us and the payment card industry.

Uptown hereby advises and informs all not to disclose their payment details including Credit / Debit card numbers CVV / Security Code, Pin for 3D Secure, Expiry date or any other details about their card to our Client Relationship Manager or any one from Uptown on phone or by email. Uptown does not ask such information either by mail or on phone.

Uptown collects technical information of your computer each time you request a page during your visit to Uptown. This information collected from your computer may include your IP address, operating system, and Web browser software, screen resolution, and referrer Website, referrer campaign. We automatically collect information about your computer and assign you a "cookie" (a small, unique identifier text file) when you visit Uptown. The cookie which is stored on your computer may also contain last used travel parameters while searching for travel products.

Your information we collect when we advertise on third party sites:

Uptown continues to advertise on various third party sites including search engines and social media. When you visit them and click through, fill any information in banners / adverts, we may place cookies on your computer or use pixel tags.

Your information we collect when you call or write to us:

When you call or write to our helpdesk, we collect your contact information (Name, Phone number, mailing address or email address) and information about the relevant travel products in processes of pre-sales, sales, support or complaint as necessary to assist you. The said conversations and communications may be recorded and stored for quality and compliance purposes.

Your information we collect when we send emails / deal alerts / promotional campaign / e-newsletters:

When we send emails / deal alerts / promotional campaign / e-newsletters, or when you forward same, search results, itinerary, etc. to a third party, either by the "Mail to: or "Send to a Friend" facility, we may insert a pixel in the email.

Surveys, contests, and marketing

From time to time, Uptown may offer our members and site visitors an opportunity to participate in a survey, contest, or marketing activity. Information collected by Uptown when you participate in a survey, contest, or marketing activity may include your Full Name, Mobile number, email address, and street address.

Uptown shall communicate to you by SMS, Email or Telephone in response to the following:

3. If you are a registered member and / or have made purchases with us and we may need to intimate you about the travel reminders (flight details, timings, etc.), itinerary, changes, alterations, cancellations, amendments or anything pertaining to your transaction with us.
4. If you are registered member and / or have made purchases with us, we may contact you for providing feedback about our supplies and suppliers in order to make our service better for future consumption
5. If you are a registered member we may communicate to you regarding your itineraries, profile completion/ update requests, feedback, opinion, etc.

In order to protect national security, and to ensure travel security, the Indian Governments may request access to passenger name records, which typically includes name, flight origin, flight destination, flight time, duration of flight, seat location, travel agent, form of payment, credit card numbers, travel itinerary, address, telephone number and meal requests. In response to such request, Uptown will give access to all the information you provide at the time of making your reservation to the applicable government agencies of the country to or from which you are travelling.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. Under normal circumstances, we would seek your permission if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Such changes in privacy policy / statement shall apply to all information or PI collected from the date of change as well to the existing information or PI held by us.
